I began my journey as an artist in a watercolor painting class when I was 11 years old. My passion for art continued to grow over the years, leading me to pursue a dual Art and Psychobiology degree at UC Davis. Since then, I have matured as an artist and a person, developing a style of abstract and figure oil paintings.
Every time I paint, my goal is to bring out my passionate personality and innate emotions of love, fear, lust, jealousy, joy, sorrow, and more. My style of painting, the hues on my canvas, and the variation of my brushstrokes are deeply rooted in my strong and expressive personality. My choice of colors is bold and exciting, combined with the physical movements of athletes and dancers, which brings the painting to life.
I am deeply fascinated with the human anatomy. I enjoy painting people as they move in unusual forms. The figures in my paintings portray the beauty of our physical bodies. The colors, textures, and shapes enhance the zest of life. The movements of the figures are closely linked to the brilliant colors, which attempt to highlight passionate emotions in the audience. I strive to have the overall composition of my paintings bring out an animating spirit in each individual.
Several artists have influenced me, but my greatest inspiration comes from Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline, and Willem de Kooning. I studied their art extensively and enjoy using their work as my inspiration.
